1 injured following shooting in Brooklyn Park
One victim is injured after a shooting Tuesday night in Brooklyn Park.
The Brooklyn Park Police Department said around 8:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots being fired on the 6600 block of Cherokee Lane North. When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire, such as casings and parts from vehicles involved.
Later, a victim called and said he had been shot while in his vehicle in Brooklyn Park and had driven himself to his home in New Hope. He was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to a police statement, this shooting is not believed to be random. The case is under investigation.
