1 injured after shooting in north Minneapolis

Police say a boy was shot Monday night in north Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis police, at 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting on the 2900 block of Dupont Avenue North.

Officers arrived and located a boy who suffered a gunshot wound, which is not considered to be life-threatening.

The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers.
