1 injured, 1 arrested following Apple Valley stabbing

Police say one woman was injured and another was arrested following a stabbing in Apple Valley.

Officers were called early Friday morning to the area of Cedar Avenue and County Road 42 on the report of a medical emergency, according to the Apple Valley Police Department. When they arrived, they found a woman who suffered apparent stab wounds.

The victim told investigators that she was assaulted at a residence on the 12700 block of Germane Avenue. Officers learned the suspect was a woman who lives at said home.

Officers later executed a search warrant at the residence and placed the suspect under arrest.

Police say the victim remains in the hospital with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.
