1 found dead in New Brighton parking lot

A person died Monday night after being found unresponsive in a parking lot in New Brighton.

The New Brighton Department of Public Safety said officers and Allina paramedics responded to the intersection of Silver Lake Road and Mississippi Street on a report of a person down in the parking lot.

After finding the person, officials performed life-saving efforts but they were unsuccessful, police said.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the victim’s identity and cause of death and release that information at a later time.

The death is under investigation.
