1 found dead in Crow Wing County fire

A person was found dead after a structure fire in Crow Wing County early Monday morning.

According to a release from the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, at 4:17 a.m. Monday, Crow Wing County deputies and the Emily Fire Department were dispatched to a fire near the 24000 block of County Road 1 in Little Pine Township.

When first responders arrived, they found a structure that had burned. Inside the structure, responders found the body of a victim.

The fire is under investigation.

Identification of the victim is being withheld pending the outcome of the investigation and notification of family.
