1 arrested after chase, crash in St. Paul
A 21-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning after a police chase in St. Paul that ended in a crash.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, just after 2:45 a.m., a trooper saw a car "committing traffic violation" on westbound I-94 at Lexington Parkway.
The trooper attempted to stop the car as it exited on Hamline Avenue, however, the vehicle fled the area.
A short time later, the suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle at St. Anthony Avenue and Snelling Avenue.
After the crash, the driver of the suspect vehicle was taken into custody. The state patrol said troopers "observed signs of suspected impairment" while interacting with the suspect.
Both the suspect and the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash were taken to Regions Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
