1 arrested after Brooklyn Park robbery, police chase

Police say a 32-year-old man is in custody after an armed robbery led to a police chase early Monday morning in Brooklyn Park.

Brooklyn Park police say officers were called to the 5800 block of 73rd Avenue North shortly after 4:30 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery.

When police arrived, they say the victim directed officers to the suspect’s vehicle as it left.

Despite their efforts to stop the vehicle, it drove off at a high rate of speed onto Brooklyn Boulevard.

Officials say the vehicle eventually stopped about a mile later at 69th Avenue, where the man was arrested on several charges.

Brooklyn Park police tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS no one was reported injured during the robbery or the chase.

In addition, police say the man who was arrested is the only suspect as of this time.
