1 arrested after Brooklyn Park incident

Police say one man has been arrested after an incident early Friday morning.

According to Brooklyn Park Police, officers were called to the 7600 block of James Avenue North for a domestic situation at around 6:20 a.m.

Officials say the man was believed to have access to weapons inside the home and refused to come out. In addition, there were domestic-related charges filed against him and there was an order for protection violation.

Due to the incident, the block was shut down and multiple officers were in the area.

Police then negotiated with the man. Eventually, he came out and was then arrested without incident, officials say.
