Girl Scouts unveil new cookie for 2021 lineup

Girl Scouts of the USA on Tuesday announced its 2021 cookie lineup.

In addition to the classic favorites, such as Thin Mints, Samoas and Do-Si-Dos, the organization unveiled a new cookie for next year’s lineup: the Toast-Yay! The cookie, inspired by French toast, features a toast-shaped cookie dipped in icing.

Girl Scouts said the 2020 season was particularly tough because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2021 season will again sell cookies online and through "virtual cookie booths" on social media until in-person sales are safe once again.

The start of cookie season is in January, but timing and availability vary locally.
