Misty, cloudy, foggy today; rain likely on Election Day

Our Dense Fog Advisory has expired. However, patchy fog and light spotty showers/mist will still lead to some reduced visibility today.

Our Dense Fog Advisory has expired. However, patchy fog and light spotty showers/mist will still lead to some reduced visibility today. High temperatures are mild in the low-60s today, but behind the cold front tracking eastward, we end up with northwesterly winds ushering in cooler air. This will lead to seasonable temperatures by tomorrow.

Rain and fog stay in the forecast tonight. Temperatures overnight are in the low-40s. Election Day is now looking rather soggy for the Twin Cities. Rain is likely throughout the morning into the mid-afternoon, and that rainfall could be heavy at times. Tomorrow’s storm system moves in from our south, tracking northeastward. The track of the low means rain for southern Minnesota and the eastern half of the state into Wisconsin. Most of western Minnesota stays dry. We could grab 0.25″ to 0.75″ of rainfall by tomorrow late afternoon.
