YouTube TV losing Fox Sports North starting this weekend

Get ready Minnesota sports fans. If you have YouTube TV, you won't have Fox Sports North by Saturday.

YouTube TV announced Thursday that it's been unable to come to an agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group for Fox Regional Sports Networks and YES Network, and the channels won't be available on the streaming service beginning Feb. 29.

Fox Sports North carries several Minnesota sports broadcasts, including most Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, Lynx and United FC games, among others.

We do not take this decision lightly. This is a reflection of the rising cost of sports content. You may have noticed several other TV services have also decided to remove FOX Regional Sports Networks from their lineups.

YouTube TV said members affected by the change will receive an email Thursday.
