Honeywell Aerospace to close Coon Rapids facility, lay off over 200 employees
Honeywell Aerospace says it will close its Coon Rapids facility and lay off more than 200 employees, starting this summer.
According to a notice sent to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, the company plans close its facility at 8840 Evergreen Boulevard, although an official plant closure date has not yet been determined.
With that, about 212 employees will be laid off, starting on Aug. 7, 2020, and extending through Aug. 21, 2021, the notice states.
A reason for the plan to close the facility wasn't given in the notice.
The plant closure is expected to be completed in spring of next year.
