Costco to limit shoppers, allow no more than 2 people per membership card in store

Costco announced Wednesday it was limiting the number of shoppers allowed in its stores, limiting it to two people per membership card.

The change is set to go into effect Friday.

Closings, disruptions due to COVID-19 outbreak

The move comes as COVID-19 continues to spread.

The chain previously put limitations to curb the spread of the virus. All U.S. Costco warehouses close at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The opening hours at warehouses have also been reserved for people over the age of 60 and other vulnerable shoppers.
