Best Buy invests $10M to help thousands of kids gain access to technology, skills for future career

Best Buy will be investing $10 million into The Community Impact Hub, a network that will give thousands of kids access to the technology and skills they’ll need for future careers.

According to a release, the investment is part of Best Buy’s commitment to invest $44 million into diversity, inclusion and community efforts that it announced late last year.

The Community Impact Hub will include 10 new Teen Tech Centers in Los Angeles and support local in many ways, like paid internships, career mentorship programs, experience in tech-reliant careers in the creative and entertainment industries.

The release also stated that even though it is in Los Angeles, it is possibly exploring to expand the network into other markets nationwide.

In the Twin Cities, Best Buy currently has six Teen Tech Centers
