MDH reports 1 additional hospitalization in weekly influenza report

Flu activity remains low in Minnesota with only one influenza-related hospitalization being reported last week, according to the Minnesota Department of Health’s weekly flu report.

The additional hospitalization brings the state’s totals to 27.

The state has also reported three flu-related deaths this season, with the median age of the victims at 91.

No new school outbreaks were reported last week, and only three total have been reported so far this season. The same goes for outbreaks in long-term care facilities, with only two flu outbreaks reported in those settings this season.
