CVS’s MinuteClinic offering free heart, health screening
Heart disease continues to be the leading killer of men and women in the United States. All month long health care providers are advocating for healthy hearts.
To start, the Go Red for Women campaign has kicked off.
By wearing the color red, you’re showing support and the importance for people to know how to stay heart-healthy.
Every 37 seconds, somebody in the U.S. dies from heart disease. That’s according to Becca Hooper, who is a CVS MinuteClinic Physician Assistant.
“Awareness of your risks for heart health can help you make the lifestyle changes to help decrease your chance of heart attack, stroke, or any other cardiovascular disease or attacks,” Hooper told KSTP.
To help keep on track for a healthy heart, CVS’s MinuteClinics are offering free "know your numbers" screenings.
