Wisconsin surpasses 1,000 COVID-19 cases, 17 people dead
Wisconsin has now reported more than 1,000 cases of COVID-19.
According to ABC affiliate station WISN, as of Saturday, Wisconsin has totaled 1,003 positive cases and 17 deaths.
Milwaukee County remains the main hot spot in the state with 496 cases and nine deaths, followed by Dane County, which has reported 164 cases and one death.
Wisconsin is under a "Safer at Home" order until 8 a.m. April 24. Gov. Tony Evers’s order includes the closure of all nonessential businesses and a halt to all nonessential travel.
