Wisconsin reports 17 COVID-19 deaths, 2,791 more confirmed cases

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 17 more deaths from COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the state’s total to 3,719 since pandemic record-keeping began.

The state also reported another 2,791 confirmed cases of COVID-19. To date, 412,177 people have tested positive for the virus in Wisconsin.

According to the DHS’s latest report, 90 more patients were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 complications. Currently, 1,502 patients are in the hospital with COVID-19, and 325 of those are in the ICU. So far, 18,216 COVID-19 patients have required hospitalization in Wisconsin.

Over the past week, Wisconsin has averaged 59 COVID-19 deaths per day and 3,925 daily confirmed cases. An average of 31.1% of all people who have been tested over the past seven days were confirmed to have been infected, according to the DHS.

So far 348,995 people have recovered or are recovering from COVID-19 and no longer need isolation. Meanwhile, 59,388 cases remain active in Wisconsin.
