Wednesday final day for Wisconsin voter registration in order to request absentee ballot

Wednesday is the final day Wisconsin residents are able to complete voter registration.

The March 18 open registration deadline is important for those who want to request an absentee ballot.

Wednesday is the final day for voter registration by mail or online, according to the Wisconsin Elections Commission. Online voter registration closes at 11:59 p.m. Mailed voter applications must be postmarked by midnight.

Wisconsin’s primary is set to take place April 7.
