Walz now set to announce whether current COVID-19 restrictions will be extended on Wednesday

Gov. Tim Walz said he’s now waiting until Wednesday to decide whether he will extend current COVID-19 restrictions past Dec. 18.

Originally, officials said the announcement could happen Monday.

Walz is expected to discuss whether restrictions for certain businesses, gatherings and youth sports will be extended.

Currently, those restrictions are set to expire Friday.
