Schools in Minnesota are closed for the remainder of the school year, but students and teachers still have hopes of returning to classrooms in the fall.
On Sunday night, a student from Minneapolis asked President Donald Trump about the potential for a second wave of coronavirus when schools are back in session.
Rebecca Johnson, who will be a high school freshman in the fall, asked her question during a virtual town hall hosted by Fox News at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
"I worry that coronavirus is going to come back," she said. "How will I feel safe going back to school if a second wave hits?"
The president lauded the technology schools have used to facilitate distance learning, but he insisted that schools resume in-person classes in the fall. However, he did express concern that older teachers might be vulnerable to contracting the virus.

"They’re going to go back," Trump said. "We have to have our students go back to school. … But I do worry about teachers at a certain age."
