St. Thomas Academy, Convent of the Visitation School cancel classes due to COVID-19 concerns
St. Thomas Academy and Convent of the Visitation have canceled classes Thursday and Friday due to concerns regarding COVID-19.
According to a news release from the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, a parent of a member of the school community tested positive for COVID-19.
The archdiocese said both schools are closed for spring break next week and "will remain closed as long as recommended by public health officials."
The archdiocese said it is working with the other schools in the diocese to provide information about the outbreak.
On Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Health confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota, bringing the total to nine.
