St. Louis Park mayor issues proclamation calling for face coverings in indoor areas
St. Louis Park Mayor Jake Spano issued a proclamation of emergency action calling for face coverings on Friday.
The proclamation strongly urges — but does not require — individuals to wear a face covering when in an indoor space that is accessible to the public in the city to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
Where face masks are required in Minnesota
Residents are strongly urged to wear face coverings in restaurants and bars when not seated at a table, public transportation, entertainment venues, common spaces in multifamily residential and multitenant office buildings and outdoor spaces where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
According to the city, a meeting scheduled for Monday will include a consideration of a resolution that approves emergency action calling for face coverings, which contains the same language as the proclamation.
