Second Harvest Heartland ramping up food distribution efforts amid coronavirus outbreak

Second Harvest Heartland is ramping up its effort to make sure people have food amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The organization is working on distributing emergency food boxes.
The boxes have non-perishable items that will last through the outbreak.

"It is our responsibility, our work, our lives’ mission to help hungry neighbors," said Allison O’Toole, CEO of Second Harvest Heartland.
Amid the outbreak, the organization is looking for more volunteers and financial donations as these distributions will be an addition to their normal output.
