School district: Shakopee parent in quarantine after exposure to someone with COVID-19

Shakopee Public Schools has just learned that a parent of students who attend Eagle Creek Elementary and are enrolled in an early childhood program has been exposed to COVID-19.

According to a release from the district, the parent was in close proximity to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19.

The parent is now voluntarily quarantined for 14 days. During the voluntary quarantine, the parent will be monitored for symptoms associated with the coronavirus disease.

The release also stated that if the parent develops a fever, then the children of the parent will need to stay home from school.
