Safety precautions in place for first Twin Cities mini-golf tournament played during pandemic

The pandemic has changed sporting events, and that includes one mini-golf tournament in the Twin Cities.
The Miniest Mini Golf Open 2020 was held over the weekend at Lilli Putt Mini Golf in Coon Rapids. It’s the first event of its kind held in the Twin Cities during the pandemic.
Extra precautions were taken to keep players safe. The course sanitizes golf balls and clubs after every use The tournament encouraged players to wear masks and stay 6 feet apart.
"Everybody’s dealing with the pandemic in really different ways," tournament organizer Tom Loftus said. "We want to make sure people feel comfortable and safe when they are out playing a game even when it is outdoors."
Each player in the tournament got their own pencil, scorecard and golf ball.
