Rock the Garden festival canceled amid COVID-19 concerns
COVID-19 concerns are forcing the cancellation of this year’s Rock the Garden music festival.
The music festival, which takes place every year outside the Walker Art Museum, was previously set for June 20.
Organizers issued the following statement on the festival’s website:
We’re very sad to announce that due to concerns around COVID-19, Rock the Garden 2020 has been canceled.
We are disappointed that we can’t gather together around great bands and great art in the great outdoors this year, but right now the health and safety of the musicians, our staff and all of you are the most important things to us.
All tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded. You should expect to see your refund within 10 to 15 business days. If you have not received the refund after that time, please contact Etix at 1-800-514-3849 or at support.etix.com.
We’re looking forward to better days when we can be together, dancing in the sunshine. In the meantime, we encourage you to support your favorite artists by listening to their music and sharing it with friends, buying their merch and tuning in to virtual concerts.
Until we meet again, friends, stay safe, be well, and wash your hands.
The festival was launched in 1998.
