MDH: COVID-19 deaths total 70 in Minnesota, 1,621 positive cases
Sunday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 194 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 1,621 reported cases.
Seventy total deaths have also been reported, with six additional deaths reported Sunday.
The department stated, as of Sunday, the state has completed 9,385 tests and private labs have completed 28,036 tests, for a total of 37,421.

Of the cases in Minnesota, 361 have needed hospitalization and 157 of those patients are still in the hospital.
According to MDH, 842 patients have recovered from the illness.
According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 1.7 million people worldwide and killed about 100,000.
More than 377,000 people have recovered.
