MDH: 2,356 total COVID-19 cases, 134 deaths total
On Sunday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 143 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 2,356.
Thirteen more deaths were reported on Sunday as well; so far, 134 Minnesotans have died from the virus.
The MDH stated that state laboratories have completed 10,104 tests and private laboratories have completed 35,612 tests, for a total of 45,716.

Of the cases in Minnesota, 574 have required hospitalization. On Sunday, there were 228 patients in the hospital and 116 in intensive care.
According to the MDH, 1,160 patients have recovered and no longer need isolation.
According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 2,388,335 people worldwide and killed 161,030.
About 598,942 people have recovered from the virus.
