MDH: 2,213 total COVID-19 cases, 121 deaths total
On Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 142 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 2,213.
Ten more deaths were reported on Saturday as well; so far 121 Minnesotans have died from the virus.
The MDH stated that state laboratories have completed 9,981 tests and private laboratories have completed 34,387 tests, for a total of 44,368.

Of the cases in Minnesota, 561 have required hospitalization. On Saturday, there were 239 patients in the hospital and 111 in intensive care.
According to the MDH, 1,118 patients have recovered and no longer need isolation.
According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 2,256,844 people worldwide and killed 154,350.
About 571,851 people have recovered from the virus.
