COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 9 new deaths, 1,407 new cases

Monday, Wisconsin health officials announced nine new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 4,884 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 51 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 21,580.

A total of 487,938 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 1,407 new cases reported Monday.

As of Monday, DHS reports that more than 2.85 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 31.0%.

DHS said the state has been allocated 265,575 vaccine doses, so far. Of those, 47,157 had been administered as of Monday. More than 40,000 of the doses administered have been the Pfizer vaccine.
