COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 81 new deaths, 3,619 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Wednesday announced 81 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 3,887 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 215 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 18,715.

A total of 422,065 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 3,619 new cases reported Wednesday.

As of Wednesday, DHS reports that more than 2.63 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 29.5%.
