COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 7 new deaths, 1,021 new cases

Wisconsin health officials reported 1,021 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 64,227 since the pandemic started.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) also reported seven additional deaths, moving the total count to 1,025 deaths.

The state reports 5,235 people have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.

As of Friday, DHS said 1,044,613 people have tested negative for COVID-19.

DHS added that 84% of COVID-19 cases in the state of Wisconsin have recovered thus far.
