COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 66 new deaths, 7,073 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Tuesday announced 66 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 2,395 deaths since the pandemic began.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 291 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 13,230.

A total of 278,843 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 7,073 new cases reported Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, DHS reports that 2.21 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 36%.
