COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 60 more deaths reported as state nears 400K cases
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Thursday reported 60 more deaths of COVID-19 as the state’s cumulative case count neared 400,000.
State health officials reported 4,618 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 399,708 since the start of the pandemic. So far 3,562 people have died from the virus in Wisconsin.
The DHS also reported 172 more patients were admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 complications. As of the latest report, 1,780 patients were in the hospital with COVID-19, with 397 in intensive care. A total of 17,741 patients have required hospitalization in Wisconsin.

Over the past week, the DHS has reported an average of 3,595 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 46 deaths per day. Additionally, an average of 31.7% of all people who have gotten tested in the past seven days were confirmed to be positive for COVID-19.
As of Thursday, 331,425 people have recovered or are recovering from COVID-19 and no longer need isolation, while 64,646 cases remain active.
