COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 36 new deaths, 2,070 new cases
Friday, Wisconsin health officials announced 36 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 5,643 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 91 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 23,563.
A total of 530,171 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 2,070 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 2.99 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 21.7%.
DHS said the state has been allocated 779,800 vaccine doses, so far. Of those, 310,256 had been administered as of Friday.
