COVID-19 case confirmed in Pierce County, Wisconsin

A COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Pierce County, Wisconsin, according to state health officials.

A news release from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed the person tested positive Monday.

It is believed the person was exposed while traveling within the U.S. The person is currently isolated at home.

According to the release, Pierce County Health officials are working to determine who may have been in contact with the patient.

This marks the second case of COVID-19 in the state of Wisconsin.
