Allina Health creates new fund to provide support to employees

Allina Health announced Friday that it has created the Caring for Caregivers fund as a way to provide financial support to its employees who are working through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fund can help employees with mortgages or rent, car payments, childcare and other "financial hardships," according to the health care system.

"While many people are staying home to help slow the spread of COVID-19, our employees are honoring their oath to care for the sick and showing up to work," Allina Health Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Moore said. "We’ve seen the economic impact COVID-19 can have, so we’ve established this fund to give our employees some peace of mind during this trying time and show them our appreciation."
