MDH reports 88 additional COVID-19 cases, 11 deaths

Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 88 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the total ton 1,242 reported cases.

Fifty total deaths have also been reported, with 11 additional deaths reported Thursday.

The department stated, as of Thursday, the state has completed 9,092 tests and private labs have completed 23,202 tests, a total of 32,294.

Of the cases in Minnesota, 293 have needed hospitalization, and 145 of those patients are still in the hospital.

According to MDH, 675 patients no longer need isolation.

According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 1.5 million people worldwide and killed about 89,000.

More than 339,000 people have recovered as of Thursday.
