Hy-Vee added to Minnesota’s COVID-19 pharmacy vaccine network

Monday, Gov. Tim Walz’s office announced that Hy-Vee is joining the state’s network of pharmacies vaccinating Minnesotans against COVID-19.

Hy-Vee joins Walmart and Thrifty White as Minnesota pharmacies participating in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.

Walz’s office said Hy-Vee’s 30 Minnesota sites will administer more than 10,000 doses of the vaccine this week to Minnesotans ages 65 and older.

"We’re working to mobilize every opportunity we have to get our Minnesota seniors vaccinated as quickly and safely as possible," Walz said. "Today we’re expanding our options for how Minnesotans can get vaccinated and while supply remains frustratingly limited, we will keep working relentlessly to build our provider network and get shots into arms of our most vulnerable populations."

Appointments at Hy-Vee will become available in the coming days, according to the governor’s office. Locations and contact information will be available online at the state’s vaccine locator map. Those signed up through the vaccine connector will also be notified.
