COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 24 new deaths, 5,096 new cases
Friday, Wisconsin health officials announced 24 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 1,972 deaths since the pandemic began.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 142 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 11,145.
A total of 220,092 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 5,096 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that 2.03 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 28.2%.
