COVID-19 in Minnesota: 1,695 total cases, 79 total deaths

On Tuesday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 45 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 1,695 reported cases.

Seventy-nine total deaths have also been reported, with nine additional deaths reported from Monday to Tuesday.

The department stated, as of Tuesday, the state has completed 9,480 tests and private labs have completed 29,761 tests, for a total of 39,241.

Of the cases in Minnesota, 405 has needed hospitalization and 177 of those patients are still in the hospital.

According to MDH, 909 patients have recovered from the illness.

According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 1,945,055 people worldwide and killed 121,897.

About 465,073 people have recovered from the virus.
