Taco Bell revamping menu, 12 items to be removed in August
Taco Bell announced they are switching up their menu on Friday.
According to the company’s website, beginning Aug. 13, the menu will be "simplified" to streamline operations. Taco Bell says the evolved menu approach comes after months of analyzing the new way the company is running their restaurants.
"While some old favorites may be retiring, the continued creativity coming from our Food Innovation Team is non-stop. Since the start of COVID, we’ve made changes at the restaurant level with the safety of our Team Members and guests as our top priority, but we didn’t just stop there. Our new normal has also transformed the way we look at innovation and product testing at our global headquarters," Taco Bell said in a statement.
The following is a list of items that will be removed from the menu on Aug. 13:
- Grilled Steak Soft Taco
- 7-Layer Burrito
- Quesarito (still available via web/app for order ahead)
- Nachos Supreme
- Beefy Fritos Burrito
- Spicy Tostada
- Spicy Potato Soft Taco
- Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes
- Loaded Grillers (Cheesy Potato, Beefy Nacho)
- Chips & Dips
- Mini Skillet Bowl
Some new additions will include a $5 Grande Nachos Box and a $1 Beef Burrito. Taco Bell adds that even though the vegetarian menu is no longer available, items with the vegetarian symbol can still be substituted in that way.
