On the field at least, the Nationals and Orioles have had a pretty friendly rivalry

WASHINGTON (AP) — As rivalries go, Nationals-Orioles has been pretty friendly on the field. Despite the proximity of the Washington and Baltimore franchises, there isn’t a great deal of animosity when they play. Managers Dave Martinez of the Nationals and Brandon Hyde of the Orioles agree on that. Of course, they have reason to be fond of each other. They won the World Series together as coaches for the 2016 Chicago Cubs. The Nationals hosted the Orioles in the season’s first Beltway Series on Tuesday night.
