2 injured in St. Paul shooting

A 17-year-old and 18-year-old injured following a shooting in St. Paul Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, at about 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the 1000 block of York Avenue.

Once officers arrived on the scene, they located an 18-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Regions Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 17-year-old boy was driven to Regions Hospital in a private vehicle to be treated for an apparent gunshot wound to the arm.

Another 17-year-old that was involved in the same incident was later taken into custody at Regions Hospital for aiding an offender, according to police. The teen is in custody at the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center.

Investigators are trying to determine the circumstances that led to this shooting.
