As the warmer than normal fall temperatures continue around the Twin Cities, construction work could put a damper on your weekend plans.
Highway 10 eastbound is closing in Coon Rapids. The shutdown takes place between Egret Boulevard and Foley Boulevard starting at 9 p.m. Friday. According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews need to remove 100 feet of pavement, then excavate and repave the roadway to repair some damage that was done during some earlier work.
Traffic will be detoured to Highway 610 westbound, Highway 252 southbound and Interstate 694 eastbound. The repairs are expected to be complete by 5 a.m. Monday. Learn more about the project.
If you’re traveling west of the metro this weekend, Highway 25 is still under construction. The roadway is down to one lane between Watertown and Mayer as part of a resurfacing and reconstruction project. All lanes should reopen by 7 p.m. this Saturday.
