Wisconsin DHS: Mink tests positive for coronavirus

A mink at Wisconsin farm has tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the mink farm is located in Taylor County.
The mink underwent testing after it was found dead on the farm.

According to DHS, no animals or animal products are allowed to leave the farm.

Wisconsin is now the second state where coronavirus has been confirmed at a mink farm. Another case was confirmed in August at a Utah mink farm.
DHS said there is no evidence that animals play a significant role in spreading the coronavirus, however, humans infected with the virus can spread it to animals.
