If the name Logan Olson doesn’t resonate with you as one of the best high school pitchers in the state of Minnesota, you might want to look out for him. Olson pitched four innings against Coon Rapids on Wednesday afternoon, gave up one hit, and struck out 11 in the team’s 13-0 win.

Olson baffled the Coon Rapids hitters; he mixed in a fastball that reached the upper 80s, as well as a curveball that was simply unhittable.
Olson is only a junior but is committed to playing college baseball for the University of Oregon. Olson didn’t do it alone, however — teammates Troy Lynch had two hits including a solo home run, Michigan-commit Joe Longo had two hits including an RBI triple, and Connor Niznick added two hits as well.
The Stars will take on Richfield High School on Friday afternoon at Donaldson Park in Richfield at 4:30 p.m.
