Police investigating homicide in St. Paul’s Payne-Phalen neighborhood

Police are investigating a homicide Tuesday afternoon in St. Paul’s Payne-Phalen neighborhood.
According to St. Paul police, officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Forest Street North on a report of a shooting. There. officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been announced as of Tuesday evening.
An investigation is ongoing.
It’s the 27th homicide of the year in St. Paul.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and cause of death at a later time.
