Previous Experience
Jay Kolls has spent 29 years in television and radio news; 16 of them with Hubbard Broadcasting. From 1992-2003 he was part of the TV news investigative team. From 2006 to 2010 he was a radio talk show host at AM1500.
Awards
Jay has won five National Awards for investigative reporting including an Edward R. Murrow Award, a Society of Professional Journalists’ Bronze Medallion, and three National Headliner Awards. He has also won 8 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, including one for individual excellence.
Personal Interests
Jay loves fishing, hunting and golf. He lives in the St. Croix River Valley. His son is a Marine combat veteran from the war in Afghanistan and his daughter plays hockey at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
